Mira Quicksilver by JohnKohlepp Mira Quicksilver by JohnKohlepp
This was my part of an art exchange at The Angry Crayon. DesignsbyEve's character Mira Quicksilver was my assignment , and I loved every minute of working on it. This started as a ballpoint pen sketch on typing paper then I rendered it in PhotoShop with my trusty WACOM pad.

Maybe it's just me, but sometimes when visiting a museum or gallery there are pieces that I have to force myself not to touch. Sometimes a painting or sculpture speaks to strongly that you just can't help but want to touch it. This is one of those pieces that I want to touch. I want to pluck the web away and reach in and touch her wings.

Tell the truth. You pour paint on a blank piece of paper and it just does your bidding, right? :p

Love your style and the twisted selection of colors you use in the process of your painting!

HAhahahahahhahah... I really, really want it to be that way! The chaos actually scares me, but I need to believe that there's always some beauty and sense to be found even when things seem senseless. I always feel a sense of hope and joy when the feeling or the moment coalesces.

Wow. That's stunning. The defined details are gorgeous, and it feels like I could just walk right into the picture. She's also a very beautiful character. Wonderful job.

Just wondering, do you roleplay?

Thank you for the compliment! I've played MMOs a lot in the past, but as of late I've enjoyed expressing myself through art more.

You're quite welcome! Of course I didn't mean rpgs, but roleplaying in literature. I understand what you mean, though.
